About Bradford Muslim College
We exist to make Islamic knowledge accessible, meaningful and connected to the lives of adults in our community.
Our story · Established 2015
Bradford Muslim College was established in 2015 with the intention of making Islamic knowledge accessible to all adults.
Let’s be honest: for some of us, our experience of madrasa in the 1980s and 1990s wasn’t a positive one. We may not have had the opportunity to learn what we hoped to, and some memories can make the idea of returning to study feel daunting.
BMC was created to offer a welcoming place to begin again. You will be greeted with a warm welcome in a modern learning environment, with engaging lecturers who want to rekindle your passion for learning about Islam.
We have worked hard to make our courses approachable, with clear course notes and knowledgeable teachers who understand the needs and concerns of Muslims living in the West today.

The value of seeking knowledge
Our Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever follows a path in the pursuit of knowledge, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise. The angels lower their wings in approval of the seeker of knowledge, and everyone in the heavens and on earth prays for forgiveness for the seeker of knowledge, even the fish in the sea.”
Ibn Majah
