Join us at Salaam Coffee House for Salaam, Bonjour!, an exciting 9-week educational adventure designed for children aged 6–14, exploring the fascinating cultures, languages, traditions and Islamic heritage of French-speaking countries around the world.
From the bustling streets of Morocco to the vibrant communities of Senegal, each session will take children on a journey to a new destination, helping them discover the diversity and beauty of the wider Muslim world.
Through interactive activities, fascinating stories and engaging discussions, children will develop an appreciation for different cultures while discovering the shared values and Islamic identities that connect Muslim communities across the globe.

Throughout the course, children will have the opportunity to:
- 🌍 Explore French-speaking Muslim countries – Discover different countries, their geography, people, history and unique traditions.
- 🇫🇷 Learn useful French – Pick up everyday French words, greetings and phrases in a fun and accessible way.
- 🕌 Discover Islamic heritage – Explore how Islam is practised and celebrated across different French-speaking communities.
- 🎨 Experience different cultures – Learn about traditional foods, clothing, celebrations, music and everyday life.
- 🗺️ Take part in interactive activities – Enjoy maps, discussions, stories and creative activities that bring each destination to life.

Salaam, Bonjour! is about opening young minds to the world around them.
We want children to develop curiosity, confidence and an appreciation for the diversity of the Muslim world, while recognising the faith and values that bring communities together.
Each week introduces exciting new discoveries, helping children see the world from different perspectives and understand how language, culture and faith shape people's lives.
No previous knowledge of French is required! The course is designed to be welcoming, interactive and enjoyable for all abilities.
